Love Hotel Sleepover

Hey Everyone!

A little while ago, I had a sleepover together with 3 of my girlfriends at a love hotel called, “Bali An Resort”. Ever since moving to Japan, I’ve always wanted to have a girl’s night at a love hotel. It ended up being more fun than I could have ever imagined. In Japan, a “love hotel” is an infamous place where couples go to have some alone time. These days however, they are also a great place to have a gno (girl’s night out)!

Price-wise, we spent about \9,000 per person. While that price might seem a bit high, it included not only the price of our stay, but also several amenities as well. We had access to “free” wine, games, face masks, skin care, etc. It was the fanciest love hotel I’ve ever visited in my entire life! We could even take one complimentary dessert per person from the lobby, and had free honey bread and french fries delivered to our room!

The room itself was a bit small, but the interior design was beautiful. I think the rooms at one of my favorite love hotels called, “Le Cordon Bleu”, are a bit bigger though. Moving away from the size, the room had a huge TV, which we used to order selfie sticks, flower crowns and several other cute little trinkets. We watched movies on demand as well! In the evening, we watched, “Whenever I Come Home, My Wife Pretends to Be Dead.”, and in the morning, we watched “Marmalade Boy”. Not to give away our age, but Marmalade Boy in particular was pretty nostalgic for us. We also enjoyed quite a bit of girl talk!

We had originally intended to play games as well, but before arriving at the love hotel, I had gone to a weekend school event, a networking party and spent time with another friend as well, so I was pretty pooped. As usually, I was the first one to pass out. I can’t believe I slept during my long awaited love hotel sleepover! The other girls might have played some games while I was asleep though.

In the morning, I woke up early and took a nice hot bath. When I saw that everyone else was still sleeping though, so I hopped back in the bed and went back to sleep too. The second time I got up was together with everyone else. We all did our hair and make-up and went to the lobby to get some freshly baked bread while waiting for our pre-ordered breakfast to be delivered. The breakfast was only ¥200 and we could choose from three different sets: Japanese style, Western style and Bali style. The food was cheap, but beautifully arranged and delicious. As the kids these days say, the food made a perfect picture for “flexing on the ‘gram”.

After checking out of the hotel, we lingered in the lobby for a bit and played darts. We had a little more girl talk too! We had such a great time! I can’t wait to hang out with these lovely ladies again!
