How I study Japanese・私の日本語の学習仕方

皆さん、こんにちは！
As you all know, I'm studying for the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1(the highest level) right now. While I'm studying (and because I have a lot of free time at work right now), I figured, why not share what I do.
もうご存知かもしれませんが、私は今日本語能力試験の1級を勉強中です。1級は最高のレベルです。最近、夏休みに入り、時間があります。そこで私の勉強し方を皆に教えようと思います。
I bought a JLPT N1 practice test booklet on Amazon.com. At the start of spring vacation (so quite a while ago), I went through and did a practice test to see where I stand. Let me just say, my listening was great, but everything else needs work.
アマゾンから日本語能力試験1級の教科書を購入しました。春休み（もう大分前）に自分の改善しなければいけないところを知るため、勉強をしました。リスニングは大丈夫ですが、その他、漢字、文法、読解は今のままじゃ全然足りません。
Now, I go through all of the passages and pick out kanji, words and grammar that I don't know. I write them, their meaning and if applicable, their usage in a separate text book that I consistently refer back to. The repeated exposure really helps me familiarize myself with and memorize the new words.
記事を全部読んで、分からない単語や文法を抜き出し、意味や使い方を調べて、ノートに書くようにしています。何度も見て・聞き、復習したら、どんどん暗記してきます。
In addition, I also often do Japanese google searches about various topics relevant to my life. For instance, relationship troubles, making amends with friends, solo travel, travel recommendations, etc. All of these topics are simple enough content wise that I can easily get the gist of what is being written.
それに加えて、グーグルでいろんな日本の情報について調べます。例えば、恋愛・友達との仲直り方法・一人旅行・おススメな観光地などの情報について日本語で検索します。このようなトピックの内容が分かりやすくて、知らない単語を簡単に調べたり、意味も想像ができる場合もあります。
I also study economics in Japanese, because that's just my hobby. There is a website online that uses cute little animals to teach foundational economic principals. It's been great for learning more difficult words in context. If you want to see the website, click here.
また趣味で、経済学も日本語で学びます。可愛い動物うを使って、経済を分かりやすく説明するインタネット漫画があります。難しい言葉をなるための良い資料です。このウェブサイトが見たい場合はここをクリックしてください。
When I feel like it, I also read books geared toward Japanese Audiences, which of course are also applicable to my life and improving myself both personally and professionally.
たまに、日本人向けの本、自分自身や仕事などを向上するための本を読みます。
My favorite way to practice though, is by playing this cell phone visual novel game called, Doubt. This game is so dramatic, it puts Korean Dramas to shame. There's romance, mystery, betrayal, etc. Just about anything you can name. The game was created from Japanese women, so it's not only great reading practice, but it teaches me about both men to steer clear of and coworkers to check should their actions be fishy. I could probably make another blog post dedicated entirely to this game. I love it that much!
でも、一番楽しく日本語を勉強する方法は、「ダウト」という携帯ビジュアル小説を読むことです。このゲームは韓国ドラマよりドラマチックです。恋愛やミステリーや裏切りなど豊富で、いろいろが含めていて最高に面白いゲームです！日本人女性のために作られたゲームなので、日本語の勉強だけじゃなくて、日本の文化や恋愛、仕事の勉強になります。このゲームだけについての投稿が作れるぐらい好きです！
