Layover in Taiwan・台湾での乗り換え

Went home to see my family this summer! While deciding on an airline ticket, I came across EVA air! It’s a cheap but good quality Taiwanese airline company. Traveling to the United States, I had a seven hour layover in Taiwan though, so I had to think of some creative ways to kill my time. After reading a bunch of other blogs, I decided to explore the airport and I must say, I was not disappointed!

今年の夏、アメリカへ家族に会いに行きました！どこの飛行機会社からチケットを買えば良いのか迷ってる時、「EVA Air」
という台湾の飛行機会社を見つけました！普段の往復の夏の時期のチケットは20万円ぐらいかかりますが、「EVA Air」
のチケットは何と14万円でした！税金込み！価格も安くて、質の良い飛行機でした！ただ、乗り換え便を待つ時間がちょっと
長かったです。台湾で乗り換えましたが、7時間も待たなきゃいけませんでした。
長い待ち時間をどうして時間をつぶせばいいのかをインタネットで調べてみると、いろいろ見つ
かりました！台湾の空港をぶらぶらしてみると、超楽しかったです！今日それについて書いてみたいと思います！

At 9am, I woke up and headed straight to Kansai Airport. Or at least that's what I had intended to do. My laziness got the better of me and I left my apartment an hour later than planned! I didn't even get to the airport until 10:10! My flight left at 11:10! So, it was an eventful morning. To say I was freaking out would be an understatement! I even rode the Haruka #13 rapid express train from Tennoji to the airport for the first time ever (very fast and comfortable btw! Definitely recommend if you don't mind paying ¥650 extra lol)
朝９時ごろに関西空港に向かいましたが、そうするつもりでしたが、だらだらしすぎて、アパートから出るのがかなり遅くなってしまいました。空港へ到着したのは１０時。そして、離陸時間は１１時１０分でした！微妙でしょう？！あわてて、バタバタしちゃって、天王寺駅でHaruka13号という関空特急電車にまで乗っちゃいました。（早くて乗りやすい電車です！プラス６５０円になりますが、急いでいるのなら、おススメです～）ギリギリ手続きに間に合いました！。

My first plane took off at 11am, and I landed in Taiwan at 1pm. My connecting flight to America
wasn't until 8pm, so I had a 7 hour layover! What to do with all that time?! Based on what I read
on the internet though, it seems that there are many things to do in Taiwan's International Airport.
So, forstarters, I decided to just wander around the airport and see what I could find.
１１時に飛行機に乗り、１３時に台湾に到着。次の便は２０時に離陸するのだから、７時間をつぶさなければい
けません。「どうしようかな～。」台湾の国際空港の中でいろいろなことができるという記事をインターネットで読
みましたから、まずは空港内をぶらぶらしてみました！そうするとたくさんの面白いことが起こりました。

So I left immigration at like 2pm and went to talk to tourist information center peeps and they were soooooo nice!!? She told me every where I could explore in my short time here! Where to go lol Taipei 101? Outlet? Main Station?? Let's see!! I'm for sure getting bubble tea lol She even gave me a map~ Time to explore!! To be honest, I want to travel by myself more, so this is like a (litmus) test to see if I can do it or not lol So far so good?? I'm totally gonna go to the Main Station and walk around lol
入国審査を受けて、すぐに観光情報の受付に行きました。びっくりするほど丁寧で優しかったです！受付の人が有名な観光地や短い時間でいける場所をたくさん教えてくれました。地図や電車の時間割チラシもくれました。どこに行こうかなと思ったら、「スカイビル」、「アウトレットモール」、「台北駅」？どうしようかと悩みましたが、１つだけ外せないもの、タピオカティを飲みたかったのです！正直言うと、一人旅行はたくさんしたいけれど、ちょっと怖くてなかなか勇気が出ない。そこでたくさん外国人もいると思われる台北駅に行ってブラブラすることに決めました～笑

I left the airport, but I feel like I spent more time on the train than exploring lol 45 min each way. I took the MTR rapid train to Taipei Main Station and decided to just walk around.
空港を出ましたが、電車の時間がかかり、片道で４５分でした。笑

ＭＴＲという特急電車で台北駅へ早速ブラブラしました。

Along the way, this random dude stopped me in the street and proposed time and asked to take my picture 😂 That's new... And to be honest, it was a little creepy. Then a kind Vietnamese lady and her cute little baby showed me where to get bubble tea! They walked me all the way to the store! Mission accomplished!

途中で、変な男に声をかけられてプロポーズされて写真も撮られました。ちょっとおかしかった笑そして、
ちょっと気持ち悪かった。その後、ベトナムの女性がタピオカティの店まで案内してくれました。
唯一のミッション完了！大成功！

Once I got my bubble tea, it was about 4:10, so I figured I should start heading back to the train to get to the airport in time. One small problem though. I had no idea where I was and no wifi 😱 So I just walked and trusted my intuition (which was super wrong and took me in the complete wrong direction) Then, I asked someone for help, but he didn't speak English and my Chinese is not the best, so we communicated with gestures somehow. Finally I saw a sign that said "MTR 550 M ->" So I did my best to go in the direction it was pointing toward. But I had to take a roundabout way to get there because I didn't want I chance getting lost on back streets. Somehow I ended up at the station with time to spare!! So, I bought some juice in the Station and hopped on the next train.

タピオカティを手に入れたのは、４時１０分ごろ。乗り換えに間に合うように、空港へ戻ろう
としましたが、自分の位置が分からないうえに、wifiもなかったので困っていました。
同じ道を歩いている男の人に空港への道を尋ねてみましたが、彼は英語がしゃべれず、私も中国語が余り
上手ではありませんでしたので言葉が通じない！！！ジェスチャーで何とか通じました。「MTR 550 M ->」と書いてあるサインを見てそっちの方へ向かいました。ちょっと回り道になりましたが、１５分でなんとか駅に着きました。駅の中でジュースを買って、次の電車に乗りました！ぎりぎりセーフでした！

This has to be the most eventful layover I've ever had. This experience also gave me the confidence I need to try traveling alone. It was fun and refreshing to wander around by myself. I wonder why I was so afraid? There are so many adventures just waiting to be had 💕✨

はらはｈら、どきどき、めちゃくちゃ面白かった乗換えです。それに、この経験を通して、一人旅をする自信を
持ってた気がします。なんだかリフレッシュもできました。どうして今まで怖かったのかしら。
自信ができたのでこれから、遠くない未来に楽しい冒険がたくさんできそうな気がします。。
